About Me

My name is Connor Murphy. I believe that if the world didn't have movies, I'd probably be a serial killer... Killing Jehovah's Witnesses... Just kidding...! *looks the other way.*

However, with that said lets get down to who I am. I'm no one special. I'm a film collector and when I say I love film, then believe it. Apart from film I'm a writer. I've been writing screenplays since 9th grade and continued to write all through high school. However, after high school I stopped writing them, you when you get in touch with the "real world." Then about seven years ago a friend of mine asked me to write something for him, so I did. And it led to me finding my passion again. Since then I've never stopped writing screenplays. I have over sixty short screenplays written. Twenty-five feature length. Out of those twenty-five, seventeen of them I am madly in love with. Nonetheless, out of those seventeen, nine of them are polished and ready to be sent out. The other eight either needs to be rewritten or polished and edited.

As a kid writing became my escape, as well as film. Writing is such an awesome feat that people who ask me, "why do I like writing so much?" And I give an honest answer, they actually to take a stab at it themselves! If you're curious to what my response is, here it is:

Writing fiction is the greatest alternative for escape. Fiction allows you to create the world the way you see it or want to see it. That blank page is like an undefined world. Your creative thoughts conveyed into written form is defining and shaping the world in to a world without boundaries or limits. When you write and create a story (world) that seems real when a person reads it or watches it, causing emotions to stir and tears to fall and hearts to pound with anticipation, manipulating the reader to hate or love a character, when you do that, you become a god defining a world the way you wish to see it. With that notion, you can create any outcome, any circumstances, any character and any ending you want simply because... You can.

I simply love fiction in general. However, the majority of the reviews or the topics I'll be talking about are Film related. Nonetheless, there may be some talks about some interesting books I've been reading.

P.S. I'm an atheist by the way.
