Apollo 13 is a brilliant film. The characters a likable, the plot is gripping, the claustrophobic setting, and the very idea that they're in space and no one can help them except for themselves. Based on true events of the failed mission to the moon, three astronauts and their Command race against time to keep the men alive and bring them home.
Led by an all-star cast, Tom Hanks (as Jim Lovell), Kevin Bacon (Jack Swigert), and Bill Paxton (Fred Haise) as the three space-bound astronauts, Gary Sinise (mission-bumped astronaut Ken Mattingly), Ed Harris (mission control Gene Kranz), and Kathleen Quinlan (Marilyn Lovell).Apollo 13 will keep you on the edge of your seat and rooting for these American Astronauts.
Apollo 13 is highly recommended drama. 4 stars out of 5.
