The Bourne Legacy

GENRE: Action Spy
STARRING: Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Joan Allen, Scott Glenn
RELEASE DATE: August 3, 2012

I'll admit, I'm looking forward to this movie. I know it doesn't star Matt Damon, and that's OK. Just as long as we get to see kick ass people kicking ass. As for the lead, Jermey Reiner, i think he will be perfect because I am a huge fan of his. I'm also interested in how The Bourne Legacy will tie in with the original Bourne Trilogy. It appears to me through the trail that The Bourne Legacy may take place at the same time Jason Bourne was trying to find out what happened to him because many characters have come back, such ass Kramer, Abbot and Landy. That's just a theory because Wikipedia said The Bourne Legacy takes place after the events of The Bourne Ultimatum. Also it stars some of my favorite actors and actresses Edward Norton and Rachel Weiss. So I will definitely be checking this movie out. So check out the trailer.

Big Lots

A few days ago I went to biglots. When I got there, I noticed that the place was practically well maintained. I realized after going to two new Biglots around my town, depending on your location or the environment where your Biglots is located, it will effect the quality of the Biglots. For example:

My local Biglots: This Biglots is run down and the local area is not really an upsacle neighborhood. With that said, when I first went there my first thought was it looks like an indoor Flea Market. The movie selection was decent at one time, but as time went on, where the DVD's are located, the number of DVDs has decreased. Also, the DVDs are mostly Rugrats and every few weeks I head out there, it's the same movies. They rarely change it up -- heck, it appears they take away than add to it.

Second Biglots: This place is descent and has items of better quality. The DVD selection is decent and has more veriety. And every two or three weeks when I head out there, the DVDs change or there's new DVDs.

The Third Biglots: This Biglots was pretty unique. I'm not sure if the neighborhood was better, but the store was pretty big. I think it's about the same size of the biglots by the 10 freeway. The one near my house, is much smaller and run down. This particular Biglots had a pretty nice collection of DVDs on sell. As a matter of fact the shelf went all the way around full of DVDs like the others stores, but the DVDs were packed. I mean literally stuck inside! That's how many DVDs they had stock. There was a plethora of DVDs.

So my theory is this. If your Biglots store doesn't have any new DVDs, search for a new store. And when you search for a new store, make sure the store is bigger. It a better neighborhood and the stuff inside of the store looks well taken care of. If the store fits all three, then you just might find a winner.

Fringe: Letters Of Transit 4/20/2012

I've said it before and I will say it again, Fringe one of the best shows on Prime Time television. I was a bit worried about where they were going with the show in this season. However, with that said, after yesterdays episode, I became a believer. Fringe now has so many opportunities and directions to go in, it's exciting.

It takes place 20 years later, in the year 2036. After the Observers became weary of observing human history, they decided to take over, ruling under a totaltolitarian regime. At that time the Fringe Division tried to combat the Observers, however, they were easily defeated and the remaining Agents were allowed to stay active and control the ones the Observers call the "natives." At this point, we discover that Peter, Olivia, Astrid and Walter were frozen in amber and twenty years later, an Agent named Etta and another Agent freed Walter and Astrid.

However, before freeing Astrid, they took Walter to Massive Dynamic to try and repair his brain, which suffered brain damage. Walter still acted similar to a child and rambling about irrelevant things. However, if you're a follower of the show, you'll remember that William Bell took part of Walters brain out so that Walter wouldn't remember what or who he was becoming. Moreover, since they used the cells from the piece of brain that was taken out, which was kept at Massive Dynamic, it restored his brain and healed it and Walter became more lucid -- similar to Walternate.

Another interesting thing that was revealed is the fact that Walter was going to free William Bell, but he makes a statement later on after Astrid was freed -- I'm paraphrasing -- "even if you had any compassion about William Bell, you still wouldn't help him considering what he did to Olivia." Now this statement has drawn me in. Now I'm focused on where they're taking this show.

Nonetheless, it is revealed that Etta is Peters daughter. Earlier this season, Peter was told by an Observer that he was going to have a son and his name was going to be Henry. However, Etta's real name is Henrietta and turns out to be Peter and Olivia's daughter. I am strongly confident in this show and I defiantly can't wait to watch the next episode.

What would I rate this episode? 5 Stars out of 5 for bring back the mystery on full throttle.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Synopsis: IMF Agent Ethan Hunt and his crew are demand disavowed by the U.S. Government after invoking Ghost Protocol. Now Hunt and his crew must stop a diabolical madman from unleashing his demented desire: Starting a global nuclear war.

I loved MI - GP (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol). It was extremely interesting and captivating. As a matter of fact, they introduce two new characters into this series and that's Paula Patton's and Jeremy Reiner who both stole the show. MI-GP is such an interesting movie that I was really drawn to Brandt (Reiner) character because he has such an interesting back story, which tied into the entire Mission Impossible story in general.

MI-GP starts off with Ethan Hunt (Cruise) in a Russian jail which he escapes with a convict. From there they're thrust into a mission to tract down the launch codes for Russian nuclear warheads. They get double crossed, not by the IMF, but by the enemy and the United States of America activates Ghost Protocol, which is the entire IMF and Hunt and his team are disavowed and on their own to stop the enemy from using the codes.

Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, was awesome as always. Especially with his stunts he performed which didn't include a stunt double. Brandt, played by Jeremy Reiner, was a breath of fresh air seeing someone new as he brings to the table an interesting set of skills, which include extraordinary hand-to-hand combat. Benji, played by Simon Pegg, was funny as always, however, unlike last time he matured to the point where he's now a field agent can actually handle himself in the field. Pegg also has amazing comedic timing, which adds a bit of comic relief in an intense story. Jane, played by Paula Patton, was gorgeous, electrifying, fascinating, voluptuous and a show-stealer with her performance. Not all women can do well with the physical demands of hand-to-hand combat for the screen. However, Patton does an extremely great job at utilizing her self-defense skills.

Nonetheless, there's one Character I didn't like and that was Anil Kapoor's character -- I can't remember his name -- he just didn't seem all that convincing like the rest of the cast. I've seen him act as President of an Arab country in 24 Season 8 and there he does an exceptionally great job, but in MI-GP I think he fell short or better yet it just wasn't the right role for him.

In a nutshell, MI-GP was a great watch and I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone, especially if you're a fan of the first three films. What do I rate this movie? 4.5 Stars out of 5.
