Deadset (Full movie on Youtube)

A while back I mentioned there was an English movie called Deadset. I praised this movie because of how magnificent it is. I'll says it again everyone in this movie -- mini-series -- is an asshole except for Liz May Brice's character who I thought was pretty kick ass. But other than that every single person in this FUCKIN' FILM is a douche bag on so many levels. That's how good Deadset is, it messes with your emotions and causes you to hate or like someone and then you end up hating them with a passion. I hate some characters in Deadset so much I think I should make a religion out of hating them. The writing is fantastic. The direction is brilliant. And most of all the acting was above "good acting." So remember this movie with all of the episodes put together as one is two hours and twenty minutes and three seconds. So pull up a chair, get some food and enjoy!

Zomblies

Yes Zomblies is the correct spelling for this video. I saw this the other day on Youtube and I thought it was fantastic. So if you have time grab something to eat, pull up a chair and watch this kick as forty-something minute zombie movie. I loved it!

Revolution

I love JJ Abrams! I think he's one of the most fascinating individuals I've seen in a long time, especially when it comes to stories. Revolution is about planet Earth simply losing all it's power plunging mankind back into the stone age. So the movie is a Futuristic, Post-Apocalyptic, dystopia TV show. Revolution is brought to you by JJ Abrams and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke and directed by John Favreau.

I personally love futuristic, post-apocalyptic movies also dystopian movies as well. So I am very intrigued by it. Also it stars Billy Burke, he Bella's dad on the twilight movies and comes on in Season 2 of 24 as... um... What's his name... oh yeah, Gary Matheson! Bad ass. He even comes out in the movie Drive Angry with Nicolas Cage! However, there's one actor I can't wait to see in this series is Giancarlo Esposito A.K.A. Gustavo 'Gus' Fring from Breaking Bad! If you haven't seen Breaking Bad get it Season one is 15$, however, Esposito comes out in Season 2, 3 and 4. He's a dynamic actor and scares the heck out of me with that stare he does! If you don't know what I mean click here [Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert! It gives away everything about this character! So proceed with caucion.] So all in all, I can't wait to watch this series!

So from my understanding Revolution airs in the fall for the 2012-2013 line up. It will air on NBC at 10 P.M. So check it out! I know I will!

Weekly Recommendations 5/18/2012

Taking Lives -- Taking Lives is a hot little Angelina Jolie movie about a man who witnesses a serial killer kill and points him out. However, now the killer is after him.

Spirit -- Spirit is amazing! If you like those comic book movies like 300 or Sin City then this movie will captivate you. It's about a man who is killed but comes back as the Spirit. However, he has amazing powers, which even he can't explain.

Blow -- Blow a fantastic Jonny Depp and Penelope Cruz movie about a drug lord from the seventies. It shows his rise and fall. If you like movie that deal with the cartel, mafia or similar themes, then this movie will definitely hold your interests.

The Eye (Original) -- The Eye  is ten times better than the American remake with Jessica Alba. This movie is genuinely scary, and I swear there's one scene where you will definitely get scared.

The Peacemaker -- The Peacemaker is an action film with George Clooney and Nichole Kiddman. There's lots of action and suspense in this movie. It's a very entertaining movie from the mid 90's if I'm not mistaken. Enjoy!

Weekly Recommendations 4/10/2012

Serenity -- Serenity, which what happened after Firefly went off the air, is the best Sci-Fi movie I've seen. I've said many times Firefly is the greatest Sci-Fi TV show that I've seen -- heck it turned me on to Sci-Fi. Serenity is a fantastic movie, put it this way, lets say you didn't see an episode of Firefly and you watch Serenity, you'll still like it. It's such a great movie. I'd highly recommend this movie to all people even if you're not into Sci-Fi. Also, it's on sale for $4 and some change at Target, so go pick up your copy today -- actually while you're at it pick up Firefly it's only $16 and some change! So I highly recommend this movie. The crew of Serenity continue to evade revers and the Alliance, until an Alliance Operator tracks them down bringing chaos to the stars.

Sleepy Hallow -- Another genre I enjoy is Gothic/Horror movies that take place buck in the 16th century. Sleepy Hollow star Jonny Depp and Christina Ricci. This is a fantastic movie and I will recommend it to everyone who enjoys a quirky little horror story. It involves an investigator who comes to a small town to investigate a string of mysterious murders.

Donnie Darko -- Donnie Darko is such an interesting film. When I first seen Donnie Darko, I was complete drawn to the character. This a Sci-Fi/Time Travel film, which is very complex. So it takes multiple viewing to actually understand. But regardless, even if you don't like Sci-Fi, this movie just might capture your interest. Donnie Darko is about a young man who has emotional problems. He's miraculously saved from being crushed by a random airplane engine by his sleep walking disorder. Then later discovers the secrets to time travel.

Andromeda Strain -- Warning, be careful with this movie! Andromeda Strain isn't for everyone. It's for hardcore Sci-Fi fans. However, even hardcore Sci-Fi fans don't like this movie. It's either love or hate -- and most people hate it. Personally, I enjoyed it -- it's actually more of a made for TV on the Sci-Fi channel kind of movie -- but if you can look past it, it's very interesting to watch. So again, I can't recommend it for everyone, you were warned, approach with caution. A mysterious virus wipes out a small town, except for a local drunk and an infant. Scientist must race against time to discover a cure before it's to late.

Joy Ride -- Joy Ride is fantastic! I love JJ Abrams! I love everything he does -- except for Lost. I killed so many brain cells trying to figure it out -- but Joy Ride was written and produced by JJ Abrams. The entire cast was great, Paul Walker, Lele Sobeiski and Steve Zhan. The entire time I was holding my breath and hanging on to the edge of my seat. I must add, I've never seen the sequel or am I sure if there's a third one, but the best one is usually the first. Take my word for it -- it's magnificent. Two best friends go to two different colleges. When school is out for vacation, the two decide to take a road trick home, when they come face-to-face with a diabolic truck driver.

Firefly

The greatest TV show of all-time -- Firefly. This show is such a priceless treasure to me that if I had to choose one movie to take with me on an island, it would most likely be Firefly. Why? Because it's that freakin' awesome. Personally, I never really gave a damn about sci-fi, until I began watching Firefly. It's that dear to me. As a mater of fact I watch the entire series at least twice a month. Yeah it's that damn good. Put it this way, prior to Firefly if you told me that they had Sci-Fi space Westerns genre, I'd probably laugh in your face. But when I saw Firefly for the first time -- I fell in love. I'm now a huge fan of Joss Whedon and his brilliant stories.

I remember when I first saw it -- I loved it, but the theme song I hated it. However, but by the third episode I realized the theme song for Firefly was all about Captain Malcolm Reynolds. I began to appreciate it even more. Then came the sad news -- Fox 11 canceled it. Why? For no damn reason at all. The ratings were high. The fans loved it. It was so good, even after it was canceled the fans tried to raise money so that Nathan Fillon would be able to purchase it and continue Firefly. They sent dinosaurs to Fox. Letters. E-mails. Everything, I wouldn't be surprised if some people sold their souls to the devil just to bring back Firefly.

This is how I truly felt about the cancellation of Firefly -- I must add, they didn't even air all of the episodes -- I felt cheated. I felt so cheated. I was so dedicated to this series, or better yet when I found a series I actually enjoyed, I felt like Fox committed a hate crime. Every time I watch an episode of Firefly there's a sense of longing -- longing for the Serenity crew to return and kick ass. I miss Inara's graceful beauty and great sense of calm. Kaylee's innocent nature and interesting snaps at Simon. I wish to see Simon and Kaylee become an item (even though they did in the movie Serenity), while River continues doing freaky things that make everyone panic or laughing while she threatens Jaynee about being able to "kill him with her brain". Shepherd, I want to know more about him. Zoe one of the best characters on the show. So calm and loyal to Captain Reynolds. Jaynee Cobbs what more can you say about him? He made the show with his unstable loyalty and his snarky remarks. And then we have Captain Malcolm Reynolds, Mal, Sarge, we miss his witty humor. But I saved the best for last -- Wash -- what a funny man he is! His humor. I.e. Kaylee: Wash, do you think I'm pretty? Wash: If I was not wed I'd take you in a manly fashion. Kaylee: Because I'm pretty? Wash: Because you're pretty. Ahhh -- such a fantastic show.

I miss the Chinese cursing -- the alliance -- the western atmosphere -- the shootouts -- the companions -- the insane jokes about Simon. I -- I -- I miss Firefly. Dammit Fox why'd you do it? But you know what? Like all loyal Browncoats, we have faith that they will bring another Firefly movie or they will bring Friefly back -- hopefully. There's nothing wrong with hope, right? Well until the day they bring back Firefly kick ass Browncoats! Fox, cancel my shows and ignore our pleads, but they can't take the sky from me!

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

I have to say out of all the characters on The Walking Dead, I think Daryl Dixon is one of the strongest and best developed. Some interesting surprises happened in Season 2, and all I have to say to the producers and writers is... Don't depend on "the shock effect" for endings. Because if you kill of to many of the good characters then the show will go to crap like a lot of other shows out there that started off with a bang, but declined because of to many great characters were killed off.

So again -- Daryl Dixon is my favorite character on The Walking Dead. Here's a little tribute to a YouTubers and Daryl Dixon fan put together. Enjoy!

Men In Black 3

GENRE: Science Fiction/Comedy
STARRING: Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin
RELEASE DATE: May 25, 2012

Men In Black 3 I can't wait -- I loved the first two! However, I wonder exactly how this movie is going to play out with the whole time traveling bit, but it should be good and I will definitely give it a benefit of a doubt. What do you think of the trailer?

Weekly Recommendations 4/30/2012

Dark City -- This movie will remind most people of The Matrix... Well kind of, but keep in mind I think it's better than the The Matrix, because it's actually good. Also, this came out before The Matrix.

Whiteout -- Kate Beckinsale is hot. Hands down. However, this movie I liked, it had lower reviews on line, but regardless it's still worth checking out. We've all been there, you know when someone says such and such movie sucks, then you see it and you're completely amazed by it. That's how I was with Whiteout. So give it a chance, you just might be surprised.

The Descent -- Prior to The Descent there were no real good modern horror films. As a matter of fact The Descent was the last REAL horror movie in my opinion. So if you haven't seen it give it a shot. Actually, I strongly recommend this to all horror fans.

From Dusk Till Dawn -- From Dusk Till Dawn was one of my favorite vampire films growing up. It's funny. Crafty. Slick dialogue. Gruesome. And it turned me into a fan of George Clooney. Most people have seen it, but I'm sure some haven't, so I'm still recommending it.

Little Miss Sunshine -- What can you say about Little Miss Sunshine? It's absolutely adorable! I'll admit it, I don't care for dramas, but Little Miss Sunshine just makes me smile. Everything about this film is so interesting. So again, if you've strayed away from this film for whatever reason, then please check it out. Give it a chance. You just might like it.
